Summerlake is part of the 28,000-acre Horizon West, a visionary mixed-use community with strict development standards. In the early 1990’s a group of property owners in West Orange County worked in partnership with Orange County to create a master plan that included six self-sustaining villages. Each village includes a variety of housing, shopping and services, parks and recreation, and neighborhood schools.
